Good 2 the Core Pilates has been offering STOTT Pilates, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitative Pilates since 2004.  

Dana Mitchell is a graduate from the University of Alberta with a B.Sc. with distinction in Physical therapy and a B.Sc in Sciences and Psychology from the University of Calgary.  After working in Sports Medicine clinics in the Gold Coast Australia, Vancouver and then Calgary, Dana pursued an interest in Pilates mind body therapy and became a certified Instructor in STOTT Pilates. Dana has achieved advanced STOTT Pilates certification in mat, reformer, cadillac, chair and barrels.   Blending these professions to offer Pilates based rehabilitation together with manual therapy and modalities such as intramuscular stimulation (IMS) has been highly effective and rewarding in the treatment & prevention of injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.

As a Registered Physical Therapist and Pilates Instructor, Dana has worked with clients:

  • between the ages of 3- 101 years old

  • recreational athletes to elite athletes to manage & prevent injury and elevate performance, (gymnasts, dancers, figure skaters, acrobats, runners, triathletes, basketball soccer hockey volleyball baseball rugby & tennis players, skiers, equestrians, golfers, curlers, track & field athletes, climbers, swimmers, cyclists, power walkers, hikers, rodeo athletes, rowers)

  • prenatal and postpartum, mom and baby classes

  • pre and post operative exercise programs

  • back and neck pain (acute and chronic)

  • neurological conditions (MS, Parkinsons, ALS, stroke, quadriplegia, paraplegia)

  • cancer survivors

  • Dana is certified in IMS (intramuscular stimulation dry needling​ technique), has advanced manual therapy, myofascial release, and extensive core exercise training.

  • Certification has been achieved in Total Barre, and Zenga equipment level 1

  • Staying current through education & clinical courses is a priority to be able to offer programs and techniques that are well supported in both literature and clinical outcomes as effective in the management of pain, injury and the restoration of mobility.
