Prerequisite is previous experience with Pilates/core stability or Introductory class and you must bring your own Exercise ball (55 cm or 65 cm).  Exercise balls available for purchase from the clinic.  If you intend to purchase a ball for the class, buy it ahead of time as they come deflated and require inflation 2 times over a 24 hour period.  Pilates on the ball adds an extra element of variety and challenge to your core stability routine and improves your coordination and balance.   Spaces limited.

Elastic Bands Class

Pilates mat exercises and reformer exercises can be done with varying resistance elastic bands.  This adds resistance to the workout increasing the strengthening, core stability, sculpting and toning the muscle.  Learn to incorporate the elastic in some Pilates mat exercises you already know.  Also, learn some new exercises which usually use a Reformer (a piece of Pilates equipment with a sliding carriage pullies, and springs) but can be simulated with the elastic bands.

Fusion Class

Pilates Fusion is a class which combines the mind body disciplines of Yoga and Pilates into an integrated workout drawing from and progressing through controlled exercises, postures and core stabilizing techniques which improve strength, balance, and flexibility.

Toning Ball Resistance Pilates

Enjoy a strengthening routine using soft weighted balls which fit comfortably into the palm of the hand.  This Pilates session incorporates mat exercises that increase intensity and bring awareness to the shoulder girdle stability and target desired muscle groups.

Body Rolling

(small ball and foam roller)

Body rolling is a type of body therapy exercise which uses a 6 - 10 inch inflatable ball to stretch muscles, massage, free up restrictions, and release tension.  Stretch, elongate, tone, and realign by rolling your body over this pressure resistant ball as well as develop core strength.  Discover the many emotional and physical benefits of Body rolling, increase your body awareness, and learn how to fix your own imbalances at an early stage.

Small Exercise Ball

Encorporate the use of a 10 inch inflatable ball to add a new dimension to your Pilates mat exercises and progress your coordination.

BOSU

The BOSU is flat on one side and domed on the other which makes for a great piece of equipment to establish and reinforce balance and proprioception while strengthening the core.  Exercises are done with both the dome side up or the flat platform side up making it a balance board.
